Our House:

A few years ago, Tom & I planned and built our house.  We were very fortunate to find an "un-buildable" lot (1.6 acres).  Since it was considered useless, it was very cheap.  All I will say is it helps to have friends with big earth-moving equipment!

Here are a few pictures of the house.  The first were taken in March and April.

And, the next picture proves it does snow sometimes in Georgia.  Brrr....!

And what does Christmas in the South look like?

Remember I mentioned earlier about having friends with big, earth moving equipment?  Here is the back hoe that dug up our ENTIRE backyard (almost all rock) so a septic tank system could be installed and we could get our occupancy permit (as opposed to having the house condemned).  The picture beside it is what our backyard looks like now.  We even have a fire pit for bonfires in the fall.
